The Premiership AKA the Premier League is the number one tier of football in England and there are three tiers below it in the professional leagues known as the Championship, League One and League Two.

The Premiership season will kick off in August and end in May and the winner will play the winner of the FA Cup in the first game of the new season known as the Community Shield. Managers such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger are well known for their long-term roles in the Premiership and players like Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Dennis Bergkamp are some of the most famous players to have played in it.
